Creating Tasks
Creating a task is the final setup step before a mint. A task tells ForgeMint Pro+ what launchpad to prepare for, which wallets to use, how many NFTs to attempt, what price to use, and how gas and scheduling should be configured.
The Task Builder
To create a new task:
- Navigate to the Tasks tab in the dashboard.
- Click Create New Task.
1. Basic Information
- Task Name: Give your task a memorable name (e.g.,
Bored Ape Mint). - Launchpad URL: Paste the direct URL to the mint page for the supported launchpad workflow.
- Contract Address (Optional): If the bot cannot automatically detect the contract from the URL, you can manually input the contract address.
2. Wallet & Quantity
- Wallet Group: Select the group of wallets you set up previously.
- Quantity Per Wallet: The number of NFTs each wallet should attempt to mint.
- Mint Price: The cost of the NFT in ETH. If it is a free mint, enter
0.
3. Gas Settings
Gas is what you pay to the network to execute your transaction. High traffic drops require higher gas to succeed.
- Max Fee (maxFeePerGas): The absolute maximum amount you are willing to pay per unit of gas.
- Priority Fee (maxPriorityFeePerGas): The tip you pay directly to validators to process your transaction faster.
- Gas Limit: The maximum amount of computational units your transaction can consume. (Default: 300,000 for standard mints).
[!TIP] If you are participating in a highly competitive mint, you should significantly increase your Priority Fee to ensure your transaction is picked up by validators ahead of the competition.
4. Execution Settings
Configure how and when the task should run:
- Execution Mode: Choose the task behavior that matches your setup and risk tolerance.
- Review Before Live Use: Confirm wallet group, price, quantity, and gas settings before starting a live task.
5. Scheduling
- Execute Now: The bot will immediately attempt to mint.
- Schedule Time: If the drop is happening in the future, you can select an exact date and time. The bot will automatically trigger the transaction at the precise moment.
Once you have filled out all the fields, click Save Task. Your task will appear in the dashboard, ready to be started!
